out with the old, in with the new
On Saturday, we said goodbye to the old, yellow, yucky laminate countertops.
And hello to our new, beautiful, dark gray concrete countertops.
We are in love.
Now we can move on with the rest of the room.
Still left:
-backsplash (no more yellow laminate anywhere, thank you!)
-cabinet doors
-lay flooring
I think it will be my favorite room when it is finished.

It looks great!
thanks! we are really excited to finish the rest now.
beautiful! That will be so nice! Tell me, what made you go with concrete? I can't decide between concrete, marble, and granite.
i don't know what it is exactly, but i just love the look of concrete. so i am biased, but would definitely recommend it. you should just google concrete countertops and look at some galleries. there are some really cool things you can do. i think we are also going to do our bathroom vanity and our fireplace with it as well.
Wow. Isn't it amazing what a difference those details make? It looks awesome with your white cabinets.
In the words of Melissa Ethridge, I wanna come ova.
HOORAY!!
I love it! Now I need to do mine:)
Looks great Holly! I can't wait until you post pics of the finished project!
oh I love the look too! I have been looking at countertops for months and I still can't really decide although with the style I want I might actually go with marble but I'm not sure. I have been looking at other stone products as well. The concrete does look cool!
concrete is fun! i guess it looks better then the yellow....ha jk i love it!
Oh and I just realize that I am ohsolame...we have the same post title. I didn't even SEE that until I looked at the main kewish page. I'madork. You were first so I totally copied you! HA! Sowwy!
looks like a whole new kitchen. i am sure you will miss those stains.
oh, the stains. i know. those were from us painting and not caring if we spilled on the countertops since we were going to replace them anyway!
